Competition

Competition is a major and fun part of the barbershop world that helps keep us focused on raising the bar of performing excellence. We come together in a spirit of lighthearted contest to see who's really got top form. We root for each other, cheer each other on, and once the medals have been handed out, we sing and party into the night!

Regional

Magic of Manatee Chorus is a member of Region 9 of Sweet Adelines International.  Each year in March or April choruses and quartets from throughout the region come together to compete in a regional contest.  We are judged in four categories:  music, sound, expression and showmanship.

International

Sometime in the fall the winners of all regional contests -- and a few "wildcards" -- gather together at International competition. In 2012 International competition will be held in Denver, CO, October 30-November 3.
